VIA® Release Notes 2020.1 Release

During the extended interruptions created by the COVID-19 shut down we slowed down our normal quarterly releases to try and assist our customers and avoid any interruptions during this time. We are starting the process of resuming our release schedule for 2020 and our first release is scheduled for August 15 at 8pm. This documentation provides information on all of the changes, new features, and improvements that are available in the 2020.1 release and is subject to change and updates through August 8 when the release reaches GA.

Platform Feature Enhancements

VIA® Portal

• Localization Support
  Implemented proper localization support throughout the entire system for French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

• Views

  1. Implemented entirely new view system

     1. View defaults to “list” view but now has other views available

  2. NEW - Timeline View

     Open

     

     1. Timeline view allows display of orders, segments, and other compatible object types in a gantt-style timeline

     2. Card level data is displayed in the summary line but can be unfolded to display all of the stops (or events) contained within

     3. Drag and Drop rescheduling by moving along the gantt timeline

        1. Entire load can be moved or rescheduled

        2. Individual stops can be rescheduled and the time windows adjusted through simple drag/drop

     4. Week, Month Day views

     5. Custom Date range support

     6. Full Expand/Collapse capability board wide

     7. Support existing filtering and saved filters at the board level.

  3. NEW - Workspace View

     Open

     

     1. Workspace view allows you to define one or more Workspaces on a given board or board type

     2. Each workspace can have a user-defined number of Widgets

     3. Widgets can be user configured with unique Titles and configuration

        1. Grids can be configured to select certain columns and have custom headers.

        2. Grids can have sort order controlled.

     4. Widgets

        1. Grid widget - Allows display of in a customizable grid format

        2. Graph widget - Allows various graph displays and/or metrics

           1. Line Graph - Displays a line style chart of a particular aggregate value

           2. Column Graph - Displays a vertical columns of a particular aggregate value

           3. Donut Graph - Displays in a pie-chart/donut format for an aggregate value

           4. Count Graph - Displays a simple count.

        3. Map widget - Displays a map with full data integration

        4. Embed widget - Allow for embedding external website or other URL based data

• Task System

  1. Added ability to add tasks to already arrived stop-offs

  2. Added additional capabilities to see information on completed tasks

  3. Added “Show Completed” option to task list options

  4. Added Task counts to mini-card surface

  5. Increased Task description field to 256 characters

  6. Default repeat and schedule fields to have a minimum value
