How do I create Boards?

This guide will show how to create your own boards. There are two ways to create boards in VIA®; the first is to manually create a board and configure the settings. There is also a way to use pre defined templates to create boards a lists that are common for many VIA® applications. The steps below will cover both methods.
Step-by-Step Guide to Create Boards Manually
From the homepage you may click the "New Board" button next to "Collapse All" or you may click the "+" at the top of the page on non-mobile devices

If you do not see the 'new board' button on the top of your screen you do not have the rights to create a new board. Your VIA administrator can provide you access from the User menu in the administrative screen. Any users that have the Create Boards option on their user account will be able to create boards.
You will now be prompted to fill in some information on what type of board you are trying to create. The 'Item Type' will determine the type of information that is in the Board. You can use the category to keep similar boards organized if you wish.

Step-by-Step Guide to Create Boards Using a Template

When the create board popup screen appears click on the Create From Template button at the bottom of the screen:
- This button will launch the template utilization tool. From the resulting popup screen select the type of template you would like to create. For example, Driver Recruiting :
- Press the create button once you select the template you want to utilize. These templates will create the following in your system: Boards, lists within the boards, ramps and roles if they are configured in the VIA template. Once the creation is complete you will be presented with the following screen to let you know how many were created:
