Information

List

Lists contain a collection of cards. You can use lists to maintain organization of your cards according to your needs. 



Card

Cards are used to store and track information. They represent  a piece of data. An Order card for example would store information such as the pickup and delivery locations in addition to freight details and charges. Driver cards would appear similar in a list on a driver type board but they would show driver related information. Personal information, Driver History and hours of service for example. You can create cards in a list to store information relating to that list. Cards can be clicked and dragged onto other lists to reorganize them. You can click on cards to view more information about them.



Board Sidebar

Use this to help manage your board. You can view activities here as well as manage the boards members and the labels that are available to the board.

Slideout Menu

The slideout menu appears on the left side of the  VIA® screen. The options on the bar may change depending on which area of  VIA® you are accessing at a given time. The list below will display the different types of menu options available in the slideout menu:

  •  Tools - This is available throughout the system; however, the tools that appear may change depending on the board you are viewing. You can find tools such as quick quote, mile calculator, segment builder (available in the order type boards)
  • Conversations - This menu item is available throughout the system. Clicking on this menu item will allow you to start and view existing conversations.
  • What's new? - This item is available throughout the system and will display any new features that have been released in VIA®
  • Filters - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board. You can create a filter, save and load filters and clear filters from this menu item.
  • Members - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board. This menu option will allow you to see any users who are members of the board. If you are a board administrator you can also add new members to the board so that other users can see the board in their home screen.
  • Labels - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board. The menu option will give you the ability to create new labels and drag them to cards in your boards.
  • Templates - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board. If you have cards that you create often (recurring loads for example) you can save your card as a template and it will appear in this list. You can then drag the template back into the board and a copy will be made that you can then work with.
  • Activities - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board. The activities tab is broken into Comments, Operations and system activities.
  •  Archives - This menu item is only available on the slideout when you are viewing a board.

Tools and Menu

This is where you can filter cards, select multiple cards, change your board view  or view the menu for the board. The menu provides options that are standard to all boards (Copy Board Email, Copy Board, Hide Card Counts)  and menu items that may be board specific such as in the screen shot below which is an order type board displaying options for Defaulting Locations and Importing Carrier Quotes.
