Rating Method 3- One Time Rates
If you do not want to use lane cards to pull existing rates and you do not have an API integration setup, you can create one time rates on an Order or Segment card. In some cases, the circumstances may require the need for the clerk to manually enter either a linehaul rate or an accessorial rate. The following instructions will walk you through how to setup a one time rate for both linehaul and accessorial charges.
Applying a One Time Linehaul Rate Within the Linehaul Sections of Bill Details or Cost Details
In the financial tab, within the bill details and cost details sections, you will be able to apply a one time linehaul rate. To begin, click on the one time rate button beside the linehaul field which will bring up the One Time Rate popup screen:
From the one time rate screen you can define the rate as well as the multiplier for the one time rate. Your options are located in the type box and then include the following options:
Per Freight Line - This would apply your rate against a count of you freight lines (not pcs or weight just the amount of freight lines you have entered)
Per Gallon - This is found in the Freight Tab and is used when rating by volume
Per Handling Piece - This is found in the Freight Tab and usually when you are rating by pallets
Per Hour - This option is intended for future development and will not multiple currently
Per Hundred LBS - This will utilize the weight field in the Freight line and will divide the weight by 100 before multiplying by your rate
Per LBS - Located in the freight tab, this field will multiply the LB field entered by the rate
Per LBS/FT3 - This will multiply the Rate by the cube weight. You can setup the system to automatically calculate this based on the dimensions entered
Per Mile - This will use the miles that are either brought in by any integrations setup OR can by automatically calculated depending on the company setting for miles
Per Piece - Located in the freight tab this will multiply the rate by the pieces entered
Per Stop - This will pull from a count of the stops you have entered
Per Thousand LBS - Similar to the Per Hundred type this will run a calculation on the weight before applying the one time rate
Per Ton (20000LBS) - Similar to the Per Hundred type this will run a calculation on the weight before applying the one time rate
Flat - This means that whatever you enter in the rate field will just apply once as a flat rate. There is no calculation.
Once you have created the one - time rate, the one time rate field will turn green. You can click on the one time rate field again to change the one time rate calculation. To change the rate, update either your rate or type field and then click the edit rate button at the bottom of the screen.
In order to remove the one time rate that was calculated, you can open the one time rate box and selecting the Delete Rate Option on the bottom right side of the box. This will remove the one time rate, and change the one-time rate label next to the linehaul field back to black.
