Available Loads Menu Option

The available loads option within the Via Mobile system will allow dispatch to post loads that do not have driver’s assigned. Drivers can then look at the available loads screen and select an available trip to work on. When the driver accepts one of these trips VIA will automatically assign the driver within the portal. The available load tendering process can work for just your company drivers; or it can work for drivers who are part of your partner networks.
Dispatch - Setting a Load to an Available Load Offer
Sending out available loads starts within the VIA portal with the dispatchers. There are two criteria that must occur before a driver can see and accept an available load:
The order/segment must be in Available Status.
You will need to send the Available Offer using the Menu item - Enable Load Offer
This process can be done on either order or segment type cards. It can also be triggered to happen automatically if you are utilizing the VIA ramp system. For example, you can create a ramp to automatically change the status to Available and trigger the Enable Load Offer based on events such as adding a label or moving a card to a specific list. To begin, open an order or segment card. Ensure you are on the Order details (or Segment Details) tab of the card. You will see the status right below the stop summary header. Click on the down arrow to change the status to Available:
NOTE: If you do not see Available in the list it could have been disabled in the Administration Screen - Drop Down options screen. Contact your system administrator if you do not see Available in the list. If you cannot change the status then you may not have the role permission set to allow you to change the status. Contact your system administrator if you cannot change the status of a card.
Once you have the status of the card changed, click on the card menu (represented by three horizontal lines) on the top right side of the screen. From the menu options, choose Enable Driver Offer

Your card should now show up under the available loads section in the driver’s mobile application:
The driver can click on the load that they want to complete and press the accept load. This will assign the driver in the portal, remove the load from the available loads screen, and move the load into the my loads screen in the mobile app.
