Slideout Menu Options
When you have a card opened you can use the following slide out menu options to perform everyday tasks on your cards
Edit Members
The first option in the slideout menu for the card is the members tool. From here you can see all the members who are currently on the board and all the members attached to this specific card. You can either drag the use avatar from from board members section down into the card members area. If there are a large number of avatars you can always press the + button on the card menu section and search for a user from within a list. You can remove a member from the card by dragging it from the card members section up to the board members section.
Edit Labels
Similar to members, the ability to add labels can be done in the slideout menu for the specific card. Make sure you have the card open when you select the slideout menu and click on the second menu item from the top for labels. The process of assigning a label works much the same as members. You can drag a board label from the top of the menu down to the bottom to assign it to your card. You can also drag from the card labels back into the board menu to remove the label from the card. You can also assign a label by pressing on the + in the card labels section
If you want to configure your labels you would do that by clicking on the label in the board label section. This would open up the label configuration screen. From here you can name you label, select a color for your label or delete it altogether. Please note that if you delete the label from the board labels section it will remove the label from all the cards that it is currently attached to.
Edit Attachments
The third menu item in the card slideout menu is the attachments button. You can use this menu option to attach file to your card. These files can be any type on your system including image, wave or pdf files. To attach a file to your card open the card you want to attach to and press the paperclip icon on the slideout menu. There are two options to add a file: You can either drag the file over from an explorer window onto the addition box or you can click on the box itself and a VIA file explorer box will appear. Navigate to the folder where your file is stored and then select the file.
Once you have the file attached to your card you can set the document type. To achieve this; click on the menu on the top right corner of the file you uploaded and select: set document type. You can also use this menu to delete the file if it has been added by mistake.
At the bottom of the attachment box there is an option to download the file (the download button located on the bottom left of the attachment box) and the ability to share the file by pressing the share button on the bottom right part of the box.
Start Conversation
Conversations are prevalent in the system can be linked to boards or can be card specific. If you would like to link a conversation to a card you can start the conversation from within the card slideout menu.As with all other card specific options you will have to have the card open before you click on conversations in order to link your conversation to the specific card. The conversation menu is the last option in the card slideout menu.
From within this menu you can start system, board or card specific conversations. You can also see your hidden conversations and all public conversations organized by general (my conversations), board and card specific conversations.
To start a card level conversation, click on the menu option + Card Conversation
You will be asked to give a name to your conversations and may be given the option to make the conversation private. If you do not see an option to make the conversation private then you will have to change the company setting in the administrator menu.
Once you have a conversation started you can add people to you conversation and begin your conversation.
In addition to seeing all your conversations in the slideout menu, you can also access any conversations (that you have not closed) across the bottom of your VIA screen.
Clicking on either of these links you will open the conversation screen. Once it is open you can add additional members to the conversation.
Menu Options
Many of the options that are available in the slideout menu of the card are also available in the card menu itself. For example, you can quick add members to the card (they will show up in the slideout menu view), labels, attachments and conversations.
Enable Accept/Reject
You can toggle a flag to enable accept or reject from the menu. This would be used if you were using partner networks that allowed for your carriers to see the orders that were offered to them. If the accept/reject was enabled they would be able to click on either accepting or rejecting the load.
NOTE: This option will work in conjunction with an admin menu option to determine what status the card has to be in for this setting to work. To find the setting go to the admin menu then within the boards menu navigate to your specific order/segment board. At the bottom of the board settings there is a setting titled Lock Accept Load Tender. To the right of the option is a field called Lock Accept Load Tender Status.
These two fields work in conjunction with one another and will effect how the enable accept/reject option will work on the card. If you have the lock checked off in the admin menu then the card status has to match what you have in the lock accept load tender status field. If you do not have the lock checked off then the card status will have to be New in order for the accept and decline buttons to appear when the enable has been set.
Card Email
In each of the cards you will find an email address. If you click on this field it will automatically copy the value. You can then use this to email the card address out. NOTE: You will have to have access to VIA in order for this link to complete.
Move Card
If you would like to move a card to another board you can use the move card menu option to achieve this. Clicking on move card will bring up a list of boards that are of the same type. For example, if you are moving a card that is currently on an orders board then the boards that you will see in the corresponding list will be other order boards. Once you select the board you will be asked which list you would like to assign the card to. When you are done the card will disappear from the originating list/board and appear in the new location
Copy Card
Selecting the copy card option will launch the Cops card wizard. You will be asked to define the board that you want to copy the card to. When you have selected the board you will be asked to select the list on your selected board that you want to copy the card to. Once the copy is successful you will be notified that the copy was successful and given the option to go directly to your new copy of the card.
Archive Card
Selecting the archive card option will move the card from the board and place it in archived status. You will still be able to access the archived card using the slide out menu/archived section if you would like to un-archive the card and place it back on the board. You can also archive a card by selecting it in the list and dragging it up to the top of the board screen.
Setting the Card as a Template
You can save your card as a template from within this menu. A template will be stored in the slide out menu for the board and can then be used multiple times to create new cards. Setting a card as a template will remove it from the list in the board so if you want to access the template you will need to view it using the slideout menu on the right side of the screen.
