What are Tasks?

Tasks are actions that are setup on cards that are to be completed. They can be reminders or actions that have to be taken. They can be scheduled to appear at a specific time or they can repeat as necessary. You can find tasks on all types of cards. You can setup one time tasks on individual cards, or you can setup tasks that will appear on every card created on a board. To see the tasks assigned to a card you need to open the card. The task section of the card is located on the top right side of the card screen.

Based on the screen shot above you can see that there are no active tasks. To create a task, click on the + button on the right side of the card in the task section.

There are 5 types of tasks that you can create:

  • Reminder - This task will display a note or reminder on the card. There is only one option on this task which is to move the card from active to completed

  • Confirmation - The confirmation task will require the user to either accept or reject the task in order to complete it

  • Timer - The timer task allows the user to track time on a card. You can start and stop the timer.

  • Action - There are currently 2 actions that you can create with the actions task: you can either upload a document or open a URL when the user completes the task.

  • Prompt - The prompt task allows the user to add a value to a field that is defined in the task screen.

  • No labels
