It is possible to merge cards together depending on that card types. Only specific types of cards can be merged together. For example, event cards, blank type cards and location cards can both be merged. You can find the merge tool in the slide out menu of these boards.

How to Merge Cards

The merge tool will allow you to merge multiple cards together. For an example lets merge together two customer cards that were created for the same shipper location. In this example I have two cards for Al’s Electronics. Both cards have some data filled in and we want to merge them together. To start, let’s select the card that I want to be my primary card. The primary card will retain any information that is has already filled in. For example, if the primary card has Bob Smith entered as the contact and the secondary cards that I am merging into it have Gary as the contact, when the merging is complete the contact will be Bob Smith.

This card has the name spelled correctly with the apostrophe. This card also has the hours from Monday to Friday and the correct phone number.

This is the card I want to merge into this card. In this case, the title of the card does not have the apostrophe in it and contact name is not complete and there is and email address.

To start the process, open the slideout menu and select the tools button. Click to expand out the merge cards tool.

...

To start, take the card that you want to be your primary card (the one that you want to keep the most information for) and drag it into the “drag card here to start”.

...

Once you have marked your primary card you can drag one or more secondary cards into the “drag cards here to be merged” section.

...

When you have dragged all your cards click on the merge > button to complete the merge process. When the merge is done any information that already exists in the primary card will stay on the new card. If there are any empty fields in the primary card that are filled in on any of the secondary cards there will appear on the new merged card. Let’s look at our new merged card:

Many of the fields that existed in the primary card are still there. The email address from the secondary card has been filled in.

The secondary card has disappeared from the list and is now located in the archived card list.
