The fundamental unit of a board is called a card. Cards are used to represent anything from trucks, trailers, drivers, loads, etc. and appear in lists. This guide will go over most things that you will see once you are Editing a Card. Including explanations of Card Membership and the Card Actions Menu.

Card Actions Menu

The Card Actions Menu is used to quickly edit information within a Card or to move, copy, or archive the card. To access the Card Actions Menu click the Menu Icon when you are editing a Card.

On a each card you will get the following options in the Actions Menu. Note: depending on the card type you may have additional menu items available to you in addition to what is in the following list.:

  • Edit Members...
  • Edit Labels...
  • Edit Attachments...
  • Start Conversation
  • Enable Accept/Reject
  • Enable Shared Tracking
  • Display the card's email address
  • Move Card
  • Copy Card
  • Archive Card
  • Set Card as Template
  • More


Tip

Under the More Action you can find a Link to the Card you are editing. This can make it easy to share Cards with another member of the Board.

Card Insert Menu

The Card Actions Menu is used to quickly apple updates and add new information within a Card. It does not exist on every type of card; however, the + menu does not exist for quotes. If you were a previous user of the VIA system, many of these features have been moved from the right side of the card up to this menu listing. To access the Card Actions Menu click the Plus Icon at the top right side when you are editing a Card.

On a each card you will get the following options in the Insert Menu. Note: depending on the card type you may have additional menu items available to you in addition to what is in the following list.:

Edit Members

You can add a member to the card from within the card action menu. You can also add members by simply clicking on the + button on the face of the card. You will only be able to add members who are already members of the board.

Edit Labels

Similar to members, the ability to add labels can be done in either the card face or from within the card menu.  When you click edit labels you will be presented with a number of possible colored labels. 

Edit Attachments

Clicking on the Edit attachments will bring up the attach from wizard. Click on computer and you will be presented with a windows explorer screen. Once you select the file you want to attach it will appear on the card in the attachments tab. You can also perform this action from within the attachment tab itself.

Start Conversation

Conversations are prevalent in the system can be linked to boards or can be card specific. If you would like to link a conversation to a card you can start the conversation from within this card menu. When you press the start conversation you will be asked to provide a title for the conversation. 

Once you create the conversation it will appear on the face of the card and a quick access link will appear on the bottom right side of the screen.

Clicking on either of these links you will open the conversation screen. Once it is open you can add additional members to the conversation.

Move Card

If you would like to move a card to another board you can use the move card menu option to achieve this. Clicking on move card will bring up a list of boards that are of the same type. For example, if you are moving a card that is currently on an orders board then the boards that you will see in the corresponding list will be other order boards.  Once you select the board you will be asked which list you would like to assign the card to. When you are done the card will disappear from the originating list/board and appear in the new location

Copy Card

Selecting the copy card option will launch the Cops card wizard. You will be asked to define the board that you want to copy the card to. When you have selected the board you will be asked to select the list on your selected board that you want to copy the card to. Once the copy is successful you will be notified that the copy was successful and given the option to go directly to your new copy of the card.

Archive Card

Selecting the archive card option will move the card from the board and place it in archived status. You will still be able to access the archived card using the slide out menu/archived section if you would like to un-archive the card and place it back on the board. You can also archive a card by selecting it in the list and dragging it up to the top of the board screen.

Setting the Card as a Template

You can save your card as a template from within this menu. A template will be stored in the slide out menu for the board and can then be used multiple times to create new cards. Setting a card as a template will remove it from the list in the board so if you want to access the template you will need to view it using the slideout menu on the right side of the screen.
